For those of you who've been lurking around the site for a while, you know that we're pretty passionate about DOXA. Generally, we herald the brand's groundbreaking work with the Sub 300 — the watch the changed the face of dive watches and SCUBA history forever — but every once in a while, we find an earlier piece worthy of the same laud.
This DOXA 'Protype' is a minimally designed stainless steel watch that follows the same ethos as the earlier Seamasters that laid the foundation for its more robust dive watch siblings.
Housed in a 36mm stainless steel case, this piece features a domed acrylic crystal, polished bezel, signed crown and a luminous black dial with a matching 'stick' handset and framed date window at 3 o'clock.
Powered by a manual-winding movement, this piece comes outfitted on one of our Bridger Blue Alpine Straps to give this down-the-middle, black dial steel watch a bit of DOXA personality. While its diver siblings are the better option while donning a wetsuit, this DOXA will serve you better while wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.
Looking for a two-watch solution with DOXA on the dial, you can't go wrong with any SUB 300 diver and this 'Protoype'!
